Monitoring tools

Hospal provides Diascan, Hemoscan, Quantiscan and BPM as monitoring tools.

Diascan provides automatic and repeated measurement of the ionic dialysance during treatment. Ionic dialysance faithfully reflects the effective urea clearance and therefore enables real-time monitoring of the delivered dialysis dose. An alert system can be activated for early detection of any deviation from the prescription.

Hemoscan is a biosensor for continuous non-invasive and accurate intra-dialytic blood volume monitoring during treatment. The Hemoscan measurement principle is based on infrared light adsorption by the hemoglobin of the circulating blood.

Quantiscan is an integrated and accurate dialysate sampler for easy measurement of total solute removal. Quantiscan is simply incorporated within the hydraulic system of the Integra dialysis monitor. The sampling rate is controlled and adapted to ensure the reliable collection of a representative sample of the total waste dialysate. The dialysate sample is collected in a small bag attached to the monitor.

The BPM (Blood Pressure Monitoring) tool allows non-invasive automatic measurement of cardiac output and systolic / diastolic blood pressure.
