This patented non-invasive pressure monitoring system eliminates the handling of transducer protectors. The two impermeable diaphragms allow for accurate pressure monitoring of the extracorporeal circuit without direct contact of blood and equipment. The unique low volume design reduces the surface area that is in contact with blood and minimizes the blood/air interface. The bottom-entry chamber design provides optimal blood flow geometry, reducing splashing and foaming generation.
The combined use of specially selected Medical Grade materials, such as a PVC formulation incorporating a plasticizer free from phtalates and a gentle sterilization method improves the patient tolerance. Combined, these features provide protection against cross-contamination. It also considerably reduces the risk of exposures to blood for the patient care staff.
